The premises of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly was filled with joy and excitement on Friday 18th September 2026, as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu, Hon. Jerryne Asante, donated chop boxes, trunks and mattresses to BECE graduates preparing to enter Senior High School.
The donation, which took place at the Assembly premises, attracted a large number of students and parents who came out in their numbers to receive the items. For many of the beneficiaries, the support came as a huge relief ahead of their SHS journey.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Jerryne Asante thanked the people of Ghana for supporting a good government. According to her, the current government has introduced a lot of educational policies that will continue to help the youth and the Ejisu constituency as a whole.
She used the occasion to advise the beneficiaries to stay away from bad influences and to take their education seriously.
“This is your time. Avoid bad friends, avoid anything that will distract you, and focus on your books. Your parents and the government have invested in you, don’t disappoint them,” the MCE advised.
Some parents and recipients who spoke to GardenCityNewsGH expressed gratitude to the MCE, describing the gesture as timely and life-changing.
The event ended with smiles and cheers as students carried home their new items, fully prepared for SHS.
