National Youth Authority (NYA), Ejisu in Partnership with UNICEF on Wednesday 23rdSeptember, 2026 held its maiden edition of a one- day inception and stakeholders meeting on the Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health (ASRH) and Youth Engagement Center (YEC) programme at the Ejisu Municipal Assembly Hall.
The programme, which is the first of its kind in the municipality, brought together several high-profile personalities and professionals committed to youth development.

The Ashanti Regional Director of National Youth Authority Hamdiya Naana Issaka,Madam Edith Caroline Agyemang Ejisu Ag. Youth Development Officer, The Asokwa Municipal Officer, Gertrude Nantwi, The Regional programme’s Officer Foster Crosby Amoh, Students from Ejisu SecTech, St Anthony Catholic School,The Clergy and other notable speakers were also in attendance.
Each speaker delivered powerful and positive messages to make the programme memorable, focusing on the need to protect adolescents from early sex, teenage pregnancy, sexual abuse and to empower them to make informed decisions.
The organizers promised to roll out a major follow-up programme across schools and communities in the Ejisu Municipality to achieve their objectives and ensure the youth are well informed and protected.
Speaking to Garden City News, the Organisers said the partnership with UNICEF will go a long way to reduce teenage pregnancy and promote youth engagement in decision.
