David Akologo is a young experienced goalkeeper for FC Aurora in the Bolivian League with excellent goalkeeping records to show for but he is a Ghanaian who is waiting patiently to be called into the national team .
I broke his story when I met him in Brazil, way back in 2022 , thinking he might be the solution to Ghana’s goalkeeping but he hasn’t been invited for a national call up after initially putting interest in his call up. David Akologo has explained to the Bolivian Football Federation that his heart lies in Ghana but can’t keep holding on for a long time but he should be given ample time to think. The Bolivian Football Federation respected his decision and gave him time off and he said “that’s why I was at the Copa American tournament with Bolivia and couldn’t be in posts for them.”
What’s preventing the Ghana Football Association to hold talks with the said goalkeeper David Akologo and tell him their plans for him , otherwise it will be best to allow the David Akologo to stay with his Bolivian Family! He has been instrumental for F.C Aurora in the Bolivian League and also at the Copa Libertadoras.
The goalkeepers trainer for the national team, Fatau Dauda knows his allegiance to the nation but he can’t hold on for a longer time too.
