In the Jomoro District of Ghana’s Western Region, 90 kilometres west of Takoradi is Nzulezo.

The village, which was built over Lake Tadane, is home to more than 500 people. Nzulezu is an Nzema word meaning “Surface of water”.

In 2000, it was nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a major tourist attraction area.
