The District Director for the National Council on Persons with Disability (NCPD) in Ejisu Municipal, Mr. Eric Bediako, has announced that government has made provisions to support Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in the municipality.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Worshippa on Okese 106.5 FM morning show on Friday, 2nd October 2026, Mr. Bediako said no person with disability should suffer in silence.
According to him, the government has packages for PWDs who need help in Education, Trade, Business, and Apprenticeship.
“If you are a person with disability and you need help to go to school, learn a trade, start a business or enter into apprenticeship, government has made provisions for you. Just reach out,” Mr. Bediako stated.
He encouraged all persons with disabilities within Ejisu Municipality to take advantage of the opportunity and register their names with the Social Welfare and Community Development Department at the Ejisu Municipal Assembly.
Mr. Bediako explained that once registered, the department will assess their needs and link them to the available support under the District Assembly Common Fund for Persons With Disabilities.
He also cautioned family members not to hide their disabled relatives at home but to bring them out to seek support.
